Protomatic gains insights into tomorrow’s manufacturing at IMTS
Summer is winding down: kids and interns have returned to school; vacations are almost complete; and special projects are getting wrapped up.
Here at Protomatic, we are also back in school. Our focus is on aggressively improving our manufacturing processes to ensure we always deliver life-saving precision. Our education continues with a visit to the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, Sept. 8-13.
IMTS provides a great opportunity to look at the manufacturing industry on a macro and micro level. It provides a forum to investigate industry innovations, and to learn more about using conventional and alternate manufacturing methods in a complex industry.
The IMTS show is huge, with more than 1,900 exhibitors and attendance exceeding the 100,000 mark. 70 different conferences are scheduled throughout this week-long event. These classes will help us gain the insight to help our machinists and engineers provide manufacturing solutions that are efficient and economical.
We look forward to sharing our vision of future manufacturing with other attendees. And discussing with them how problems can be solved by machining super alloys, and exotic and special titanium-alloy materials. We’ll also bring back clear ideas for improving many of the supporting processes such as inspection, deburring and cleaning of parts.
The theme of the show is “Come Together. Leave Inspired.” We intend to do just that.
