Batteries

Lithium batteries use lithium metal or lithium compounds as anodes. They are disposable and can produce voltages roughly double that of traditional alkaline cells. They are widely used in portable consumer electronic devices such as clocks, remote car locks, calculators, PDAs, watches, and cameras and in many critical devices such as pacemakers and other implantable medical devices where their longevity can span 15 or more years. With a much longer life, lithium batteries minimize battery replacement and are attractive options for devices with heavy electrical demands.

Protomatic's commitment to make the world a greener place is being fulfilled by the manufacture of custom OEM components and assemblies for the next wave of energy independence, including many lithium battery development applications. Our manufacturing of battery-based and microturbine components and assemblies will continue to increase as more and more sources of alternative energy are sought to off-set our current foreign petroleum dependence. We enjoy being at the forefront of what's to come, and we foresee very little slowdown in this arena.
