Powertrains consist of those components which generate and transmit power in the form of motion to machines and automobiles. Various gears and shafts, positioned in a very particular manner, intricately engage and disengage to provide power when needed.
The manufacturing of CNC powertrain components is driven by the pursuit of economical manufacture, high product quality and reliability, improved fuel efficiency, decreased pollution, and longer life expectancy. The resulting designs have led to higher internal pressures, greater forces, and increased complexity. This, in turn, has led to demanding requirements for quality control throughout the entire powertrain manufacturing process.
In terms of CNC powertrain machining, OEMs require the powerful advantage of a high-volume precision CNC machining job shop. They also require greater levels of flexibility to juggle market shifts while shortening the time-to-market.
Our involvement in supplying these advantages to the automotive industry has been quite extensive. We have manufactured custom OEM components and assemblies for starter motors, alternator housings, brake system valves and housings, EGRs, and fuel pump systems. We also manufacture prototypes and service parts such as throttle bodies, mass air flow sensors, and temperature sensors.
