Haas VF-2SSYT is a 30" (30"x20"x20") travel machine that can be setup for 3,4,5 Axis application, glass scales that have a one micron positional accuracy (typical machine is about five micron), and a 40 tool changer (2 new).

Protomatic has recently added three Haas milling machines to support the growing precision CNC demand. Principally focused on medical and aerospace parts, Protomatic offers additional High Speed and High Precision CNC Milling and Turning for your application.

One is a used Haas VF-OE. This is a slightly smaller machine, with a 30" x16''x20'' travel and a little lower performance.

The other two are Haas VF-2SSYT. They are based on the shop-proven Haas VF platform.

These machines have a 30" x 20" x 20" (762 x 508 x 508 mm) travel. The Super Vertical

Machining Center VF-2SSYT comes standard with an innovative 30 hp (22.4 kW) vector drive
12,000-rpm inline direct-drive spindle, an ultra-fast tool changer and 1400 ipm (35.6 m/min) rapids. The unique inline, direct-drive system couples the motor directly to the spindle rather than using belts. Less vibration, less heat and less noise than other drive systems provides better surface finishes, thermal stability and very quiet operation.

They have a side-mount 40+1 tool changer that uses lighter materials for a high-performance
servomotor for tool changes that take less than 1.6 seconds tool-to-tool. High-pitch ballscrews and high-torque servomotors on all axes provide rapids of 1400 ipm (35.6 m/min). Additionally, Glass Scales option were installed for high accuracy positional accuracy.

The high speed Haas control features advanced tool management, single-button features, 15" color LCD monitor and a USB port.
